Dr. Zoe Wilson

Zoe recently received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Dalhousie University, Canada. She is currently a post doctoral scholar at the Centre for Civil Society and research affiliate at the Pollution Research Group, both housed at the University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Projects revolve around the politics of alternative, appropriate and sustainable water and sanitation options, and include funders such as The World Health Organization and the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa.

Forthcoming publications include a debate on private sector involvement in the water sector (with Patrick Bond) in the London School of Economics 2007 Civil Society Yearbook.

Zoe's first book, The United Nations and Democracy in Africa: labyrinths of legitimacy is forthcoming this fall with Routledge.
